Blackhorse Gives Back (BGB) donates beer and merchandise to charitable events as our way of giving back to the communities of Knoxville and Clarksville. To apply for BGB we have a committee review each donation request to determine if we can help.

If you would like Blackhorse Beer or Merchandise donated for your charitable event, please read the guidelines below. If you feel your charitable event qualifies please fill out the donation request form below.

All donation requests must be placed at least 45 days prior to the date of your event. Once we review your request, we will get back to you with a decision ASAP.

If you have a reason as to why we should donate to your event or cause, let us know by filling out the form below. Please keep in mind that we, for the most part, try to sell our beer. Please do not ask us to donate to your wedding or camping trip.

BGB DONATION GUIDELINES:

Blackhorse Brewery receives quite a few requests for charitable donations and we try to accommodate as many as possible. To help with our review process, we created some guidelines. See who we will and will not donate to below, along with other important details.

Due to the number of requests sent to Blackhorse Brewery we will do our best to accommodate as many as possible. To help with our review process, we have created several guidelines highlighting who we can and cannot donate to as well as other additional details.

WHO WE WILL DONATE TO:

We have chosen a few areas of interest in order to donate to a wide range of organizations:

  • Education
  • Arts and Culture
  • Environment
  • Human Services

WHO WE WILL NOT DONATE TO:

  • Organizations without 501(c)(3) status
  • Individuals and private fundraisers
  • Political organizations/campaigns
  • Religious activities
  • Children’s groups

Additional Details:

  • If your event is less than 45 days away, it will automatically be declined.
  • All donation requests must be submitted online. We do not accept paper donation requests.
  • The organization must provide a liquor license to receive any donation of beer.
  • You will be notified via email whether your request has been approved or denied within two to three weeks of submitting your request.
  • We will arrange a date and time for you to pick up the donation. Typically will be 4 days prior. No exceptions.
  • We do not provide staff to work at events or deliver donations.

Did you know… If you plan on selling our beer at an event we will need proof of liquor liability insurance from you as well as a beer pouring permit. If you have these documents already, please attach them below.
